BRISBANE, Australia - AussieJournal -- Environmental Health Australia (QLD) Inc. extends our full support to the Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, the Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeannette Young, and the Minister for Health, Yvette D'Ath and welcome the decision to place Greater Brisbane into a three (3) day lockdown to prevent the spread of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19.

Our members have been working tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic protecting communities at airports, quarantine hotels, major events, and businesses. They have been managing front-line health teams in an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19, coordinating and undertaking contact tracing and inspecting businesses for COVID-19 compliance. In large, these duties have been in addition to their usual public health and environmental protection duties.
