Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia — Visionary digital artist Jay Salton has introduced the world to the Beyondverse — a fully realised universe of surreal, luminous 3D nature landscapes that exist somewhere between dream, memory, and the cosmos. Working under the name BeLux Beyond, Salton has built not just a body of art, but an entire world. One people don't just look at. They enter.

The Beyondverse is the culmination of a journey that began in genuine darkness. Diagnosed with schizophrenia at eighteen, Salton navigated psychosis, depression, and substance misuse before finding his way back through creativity. When he discovered 3D digital tools, everything clicked.

That personal history isn't backstory. It's the foundation. The luminous colours, the impossible forests that glow from within, the solitary figures standing before portals to something vast — all of it built from lived experience. Colour as resistance. Light as survival.

The Beyondverse spans a richly imagined geography: ancient bioluminescent forests, floating landscapes suspended between dimensions, wetlands where sky and earth become indistinguishable, and a cosmic edge where the universe reveals itself as something intimate and alive. Every artwork is a window into a place that already exists.

Formally trained at SAE Institute Brisbane, Salton has exhibited across ViewBug, DeviantArt, and Displate, opened one of the first dedicated galleries in Linden Lab's Sansar VR platform, and won the Micah Prize at the Out From The Mist film competition in 2020. His most recent collection, Echoes of Nature (2025), deepens the Beyondverse's exploration of digital mindfulness and the unseen landscapes of the human spirit.
