CANBERRA, Australia - AussieJournal -- The capability development framework, or CDF for short, is a tool that organisations use to outline what skills, knowledge and behaviours are expected of their employees to fulfill their roles in relation to business priorities. Creating a CDF requires input and buy-in from relevant parties to align it with business strategy and objectives. There are 4 stages of maturity in organisational capability development: foundational, proficient, advanced and strategic levels. These levels indicate the ability to achieve tasks and decide on strategy and practice.
