Join Our Live Webinar Series for Bereaved Parents in May 2023
BRISBANE, Australia - AussieJournal -- Experiencing the death of a child is undoubtedly one of the most devastating experiences any parent can go through, and the grief that comes with it is a life-long journey of trauma and grief. This open discussion hosted by Julie & Mark Wallace, founders of Sarz Sanctuary, aims to provide a safe space for parents who have experienced the death of a child to share their experiences and discuss coping mechanisms that have worked for them. The discussion will explore a range of coping strategies, including therapy, support groups, spiritual enlightenment, self-care practices, and so much more.
"We understand that the grieving process is unique to everyone, and there is no one 'right' way to cope with the death of your child," says Julie Wallace. "Never expect life to be equal or fair, for me having this mindset helps me build resilience." We also believe that by sharing our experiences and learning from each other, we can provide some comfort and support to each other as we navigate this life-long journey.

About Sarz Sanctuary
On Saturday, June 3, 2017, the lives of Julie & Mark Wallace changed forever when their 21-year-old daughter, Sara Zelenak, was murdered in the London Bridge & Borough Markets terror attack. Sara's two brothers were also left with an unfillable void in their hearts.
Through their lifelong and ever-changing search for purpose and peace, they have learnt that:
Not one healing modality or approach is the answer.
Getting help or support can be difficult.
Our experiences need to be talked about.
Our loved ones need to be remembered.
