Dr Joy Dental Clinics Conduct School Dental Screening Program Across Dubai
DUBAI, UAE - AussieJournal -- Dr Joy Dental Clinic successfully conducted a comprehensive school dental screening initiative across several leading schools in Dubai throughout April and May. The outreach program, led by the clinic's community dental team, focused on early detection of oral health issues, preventive awareness, pediatric dental care, and encouraging long-term dental hygiene habits among students to support better child's oral health outcomes.
The program began on April 28 at National Charity School Girls Dubai, followed by Arab Unity School on April 29 and 30. These initial sessions helped set the tone for a month-long initiative aimed at strengthening preventive dental care within school communities.
In early May, the team visited Dubai British School from May 4 to 6. Shortly after, on May 7 and 8, Credence High School hosted the dental team for comprehensive screenings and oral health education tailored to children and adolescents. Continuing the outreach, Lycée Français South Branch welcomed the program on May 11 and 12, followed by Al Sadiq Islamic English School on May 13 and 14, where students received preventive assessments and guidance on maintaining strong oral hygiene routines.

Mid-May screenings included Durham School on May 18 and Sheikh Rashid School on May 19, with a continued focus on early detection of dental concerns, cavity prevention, and awareness of pediatric dental care needs during developmental years. The program concluded with Philadelphia Private School on May 21 and 22, marking the final phase of this extensive outreach initiative.
Across all participating schools, Dr Joy Dental Clinic's community dentists screened an approximate total of over 3,000 students. Each visit included oral examinations, identification of dental concerns such as cavities, early malocclusion signs, gum health assessments, and personalized recommendations for follow-up care when needed.
Beyond clinical assessments, the initiative placed strong emphasis on education and preventive pediatric dental care. Students were guided on proper brushing techniques, flossing habits, dietary impacts on oral health, and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Teachers and school staff also engaged with the dental team to support ongoing oral health awareness within the school environment and strengthen habits that positively impact a child's oral health.
