Industry sales leader to expand cybersecurity and managed services growth
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. - AussieJournal -- Xtel Communications, a facilities-based communications and cybersecurity provider with more than 30 years of experience, today announced that David Appleman has joined the organization as Vice President of Strategic Sales.
Appleman brings more than two decades of experience helping organizations modernize their infrastructure. He has built high-performance sales organizations and driven growth across enterprise and public sector markets.
In his role at Xtel, Appleman will lead strategic sales initiatives focused on expanding the company's cybersecurity and managed services portfolio, strengthening channel and partner ecosystems, and accelerating growth across enterprise and SLED markets.
"David understands how to align technology with real business outcomes," said Chris Chirico, Chief Commercial Officer at Xtel. "Organizations are simplifying their environments while raising expectations around security and performance. His experience helping customers navigate that shift makes him a strong addition to our leadership team."

Appleman's background includes managed cybersecurity services, including MDR, XDR, and SOC-driven operations, and secure network transformation. He has helped organizations reduce risk while improving operational efficiency.
"Xtel has built a strong foundation by owning and operating its network while expanding into cybersecurity and managed services," said Appleman. "There is a clear opportunity to help customers simplify their environments and work with a single partner that can deliver across communications, connectivity, and security. I'm excited to be part of that next phase of growth."
Organizations are reaching a breaking point with fragmented technology stacks. Managing separate providers across voice, network, and cybersecurity is creating operational friction, slower response times, and gaps in accountability.
The shift toward integrated, fully managed solutions is being driven by the need for simplicity, speed, and ownership when it matters most.
Xtel delivers communications, connectivity, and cybersecurity solutions including unified communications (UCaaS), SIP trunking, WAN connectivity, secure network infrastructure, and managed cybersecurity services. The company owns and operates its network infrastructure and delivers services through geo-redundant data centers.
