nosh - Food Inventory & Expiry Date Management
Nosh Technologies developed the "nosh – Food Stock Management" app, which is capable of tracking the expiry date of the food items in your fridge. The app also tracks your buying and food waste habit using an in-house artificial intelligence (A.I.) algorithm along with its capability to suggest recipes on the stocked food items. nosh is available for free to use without any in-app purchases for Android and iPhone.

LONDON - AussieJournal -- Nosh Technologies, led by a group of computer science students from around the world, developed an A.I. powered smartphone app, "nosh", available on Android and iPhone, capable of managing the stocked food items in the fridge while also suggesting recipes to the users. Nosh Technologies' current development team consists of Somdip Dey, Suman Saha, Anupam Ghosal and Lakshya Gupta.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced people around the world to stockpile food items in their fridge to maintain social distancing and reducing the time to go for food shopping, computer science students from the U.K. and India came together to develop a free to use smartphone app capable of reminding the expiry date of the stocked items before they expire.

nosh also provides the flexibility of planning shopping list before stocking the items, and an easy-to-use approach to record the stocked items by supporting barcode scanning using the smartphone's camera for more than 2 million products worldwide. In case the user needs recipes based on the stocked items, the app is also capable of suggesting that to effectively use the items. nosh is also capable of tracking the user's buying and wasting habit using an A.I. algorithm, such that the user can make an informed decision on what food items to buy or not to buy to reduce food waste. The app is available for download from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
