FiLLi Cafe, the Dubai-based café brand best known for its famous Zafran Tea, is set to open its first Australian location at 173 Lygon Street, Carlton, with operations expected to start on 6 July 2026.
The opening marks the brand's entry into the Australian market and forms part of its continued international expansion across major global cities.
Founded in Dubai in 2004, FiLLi Cafe has grown to more than 100 locations across 13 countries, building a strong following around its signature Zafran Tea and a café concept centred on fast, accessible and tea-focused service.
The Melbourne café will introduce FiLLi's signature café experience to the Australian market, combining contemporary interiors, signature beverages and the warm hospitality that has become synonymous with the brand across its global locations.
Designed to capture the essence of the FiLLi experience, the Melbourne café will bring together contemporary interiors, signature beverages and the welcoming hospitality that has made the brand a familiar destination for customers across multiple international markets.

Alongside its signature Zafran Tea and popular Karak Tea, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of specialty beverages, sandwiches, wraps and café favourites that have contributed to the brand's growing international following.
The Melbourne opening is being led by VR Group Australia, a diversified hospitality and restaurant operator with experience managing established food and beverage brands, including Nando's, Oporto, Bam Bam (Italian), Godfather and Spud bar. The group will oversee FiLLi Cafe's local operations and market rollout in Australia.
"FiLLi has built a strong presence across multiple international markets, and Australia represents a natural next step in our global growth journey," Director Sree Harsha Reddy for VR Group Australia said. The Melbourne café is expected to open on 6 July 2026, subject to final preparations.
