Adelaide chiropractor releases 15-module course challenging traditional "eat less, move more" advice for polycystic ovary syndrome
ADELAIDE, Australia - AussieJournal -- ADELAIDE, South Australia - Dr. Harwin today launched the PCOS Body Beautiful Program, a free, comprehensive online course addressing the root causes of weight gain in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The 15-module program is now available on YouTube at no cost.
Traditional weight loss advice often fails in PCOS because it ignores underlying metabolic and hormonal dysfunction. The program addresses insulin resistance, gut health, inflammation, thyroid function, and stress management—factors that make conventional approaches ineffective for many PCOS bodies.
"Those with PCOS are told to just eat less and exercise more, but this ignores why their bodies work differently," said Dr. Harwin, a chiropractor focused on PCOS natural treatment. "Insulin resistance keeps the body in fat-storage mode. Chronic inflammation triggers cortisol. Gut dysfunction drives cravings. Without addressing root causes, sustainable weight loss remains nearly impossible."

Program Includes:
PCOS affects 8-13% of reproductive-aged women worldwide, as well as trans men, non-binary, and intersex folks, with up to 70% experiencing weight management challenges. Those with PCOS face higher rates of depression and anxiety, often related to repeated failed weight loss attempts.
Up to 70% of people with PCOS have insulin resistance, which fundamentally changes how the body processes and stores energy, making traditional caloric restriction ineffective.

Why Free Access:
"Everyone with PCOS deserves access to evidence-based information that works, regardless of financial situation," Dr. Harwin explained. "Too many are struggling alone, believing they're failing when the real failure is in the one-size-fits-all advice they've been given."
