The certification enables operators to utilize advanced satellite connectivity that supports both cockpit safety services as well as operational data and voice communications.
The AVIATOR S Series platform is designed to meet the rapidly growing connectivity demands of modern airlines. Using a compact, high-performance satellite antenna and advanced satellite data unit, the system enables reliable global communication while maintaining strict separation between cockpit and cabin networks.
With this solution, airlines can support critical safety services and operational communications, including Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Aircraft Operational Control (AOC), while simultaneously delivering enhanced passenger connectivity such as onboard internet access, email, and voice services.
"Our team worked closely with Thales and the FAA to certify and integrate the AVIATOR 200S system on the Boeing 777 platform, ensuring the aircraft can fully support the next generation of connected aviation services." said Tony Bailey, President & Chief Operating Officer at L2 Aviation. "Our solution enables reliable global satellite communications that support critical cockpit safety and operational services while also delivering the passenger connectivity airlines and travelers now expect."
