Former FOX SPORTS and Network Ten executive brings decades of media, sport and technology leadership to support Layercake's growth and the global expansion of Streamcake.

The appointment marks a significant milestone as Layercake strengthens its governance and positions the business for its next phase of global expansion.
Marquard is one of the media industry's most experienced strategic operators, with a career spanning global sports rights, digital transformation and large-scale commercial partnerships worldwide. He has advised leading broadcasters, telecommunications companies and sports organisations on complex, high-value media and technology initiatives, and previously served as COO at Fox Sports and Network Ten.
As Chairperson, Marquard will work closely with Layercake's executive team to shape strategic direction, support international growth and guide the company's evolving partnership and commercial strategy. His appointment reinforces Layercake's focus on building a globally scalable business underpinned by strong governance and deep industry expertise.

Throughout his career, Marquard has led and advised on significant media rights and distribution deals, including long-term partnerships with Optus across the English Premier League and major FIFA and UEFA competitions. He has also played key advisory roles with the Nine Network and global streaming and media platforms, as well as advising and leading digital transformation initiatives for numerous sporting bodies.
