LILYDALE, Australia - AussieJournal -- CDI Global ANZ is pleased to announce the successful divestment of Long Range Automotive to a group of Australian investors.
Long Range Automotive (LRA), a Lilydale-based manufacturer of auxiliary and replacement long range fuel tanks, has been acquired by a group of Australian investors with deep experience in the 4WD and touring market, who share the founding family's passion for building tough, reliable gear for real-world conditions. The business will continue to operate from its existing Lilydale facility, with all products remaining Australian designed and made.
Founded in 1989 by brothers Roger and Anthony Beimers, LRA has grown from a small workshop into one of Australia's leading suppliers of long-range fuel tanks, producing more than 210 different tank designs to suit most popular 4WDs and touring vehicles. All LRA tanks are still designed and manufactured in Lilydale, Victoria, and the company continues to work closely with fitters and distributors across Australia and overseas.

The new ownership group sees strong potential to build on LRA's reputation for clever design, quality Australian manufacturing and products that stand up to harsh outback and touring use. Their immediate focus is to support the existing team, maintain current product ranges and service levels, and carefully expand where customers are asking for new solutions, including newer models such as the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series, Ineos Grenadier and NF Amarok.
"Roger and Anthony have built a business that's highly respected in the 4WD community, and our job is to protect that legacy," a spokesperson for the new owners said. "Customers can expect to see the same people answering the phones, the same tanks coming out of Lilydale, and the same focus on getting them safely to the next servo – just with some fresh energy behind the scenes."
Roger and Anthony will be working with the new owners through a transition period to ensure a smooth handover for staff, distributors and customers alike. The Long Range Automotive name, products, location and commitment to Australian-made quality will remain unchanged.
