SYDNEY - AussieJournal -- Aseel Abdin, BS, APD, a Licensed and Accredited Practicing Dietitian/Nutritionist based in Sydney, Australia has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board Certified. Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Aseel completed her bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at The University of Jordan, in Amman, Jordan and is an Associate Member of the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery society (ANZMOSS).

Currently Aseel is an integral member of the multidisciplinary metabolic and surgery team at the Bariatric Metabolic Institute in Sydney, Australia, where she serves as bariatric and gastrointestinal dietitian, providing individual counseling and education for bariatric and non-bariatric patients.

Recognizing her professional stature, specialized clinical skills and commitment to bariatric care and treatment, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship.
