GOLD COAST, Australia - AussieJournal -- From what started out as a way to help out one of our repeat customers, Concept Design Construct has now made inroads into a second location, providing our expert design and building services.

Another big job had just been completed and Mark, our director was looking forward to a weeks holiday with his family, with the destination of the Gold Coast locked in. Before taking leave, handover was needed for a newly completed extension, adding in an additional master bedroom with an ensuite for a client in Balwyn.

What started out as a conversation while doing the final inspection, Mark mentioned he was going on holiday up to Queensland. The client was so pleased with standard of work completed and revealed he had a property located up on the Gold Coast, and asked if Mark and the team of CD Construct would consider doing another job on their holiday home.

Luckily, Mark was able to squeeze in a visit to the location, work out the logistics and provide a quote to get the work done. Of course, the client accepted, and CD Construct was on its way to QLD!

It's not to say that everything about this new transition was smooth sailing. There were obvious logistical issues that needed to be addressed - staff  needed at more than one build site, occasionally even on the same day! The enticement of warmer weather made it easier to lure some of our staff up north, but there was the odd moment where new local trades were needed to step in and get jobs done and done well to our high standard.

There's also navigating building permits and associated government building guidelines and statutes which can differ slightly across states. Ensuring that anything built is not only of the highest quality, but also meets all the required building codes.

Luckily we were able to find a few new contractors who were eager for the work, and being locals, they were already across local building codes. The best thing is they did an amazing job! It's probably no surprise this is why we have strived to keep as many of them as possible as we build up more of a presence in Queensland.

As of right now we have a core crew of 4 full time staff located in the Gold Coast and a contract support crew extending to over 40 expert trades who can slot in and help out with given tasks when needed.
