CDI Global ANZ is pleased to announce the successful divestment of Viking Plastics to a consortium of investors
MELBOURNE, Australia - AussieJournal -- CDI Global ANZ are pleased to announce the successful divestment of Viking Plastics to a consortium of investors, who seek to further strengthen the Viking Plastics business throughout Australia.
CDI Global were engaged by Viking Plastics to undertake a comprehensive divestment process, supporting the owners through the challenges that most M&A transactions face. Fortunately, market interest in the company was strong, which is a testament to the existing team at Viking. They focus heavily on delivering exceptional customer service and high product quality output for their customers, which was evident through direct market feedback as we undertook the mandate. The company's strengths lie in fabrication of bespoke plastic-based products, and the consortium of investors who all have expertise in the fabrication process, clearly see an even healthier future for the company.

Viking Plastics are manufacturers of industrial grease traps, trade waste tanks, large industrial tanks, aquaculture tanks, pools, and other commercial and residential bespoke products. Malcolm Ling, the now previous owner of Viking Plastics, notes that "we are very excited about the future of Viking under the new owners. They will bring fresh insights, new opportunities, and best practices to our company that I believe is exciting for all who remain involved; especially for our existing staff, clients, and suppliers."
Toon van Beeck, Managing Partner of CDI Global ANZ wanted to send thanks to Malcolm Ling, Bruce Scott and Carol Rice at Viking Plastics for their hard work, as well as Neil Copp from The Sphere Group, and the consortium of investors – all who supported the transaction through to the end. He notes "it is always a strange time when you complete a transaction, as you work so closely with these people, and when you successfully complete, the focus shifts to ensuring a successful transition. The relationships you build over the process are enjoyable, and we wish them all the very best."
