Melbourne cosmetic biotech GlowSense Holdings announces the OPP Method — the world's first platform co-formulating intact bio-spicules and heat-sensitive biological actives in a single finished product.

MELBOURNE, Australia - AussieJournal -- MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.

GlowSense Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 678 959 307), a cosmetic biotechnology innovator and GMP-accredited contract manufacturer, announces the One-Pot Process (OPP Method). This cold-process, single-vessel platform resolves a structural manufacturing constraint limiting global bio-spicule skincare.

The Problem

Current global bio-spicule products use hot-process emulsification at 70°C–90°C. At these temperatures, premium biological actives are permanently destroyed before leaving the factory. Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) loses 83% of biological activity at 70°C (Mah et al., 2014), exosomes lose membrane integrity above room temperature, and Copper Tripeptide-1 requires processing below 40°C. Consequently, brands are locked into a fragmented, two-step consumer application model.

The Solution: The OPP Method

Developed by cosmetic scientist Satish Kumar Ravipati, the OPP Method operates entirely at ambient temperature with zero external heat. It is the first commercially viable process for co-formulating intact bio-spicules and heat-sensitive biological actives together in a single finished product. The platform is protected under Australian Provisional Patent Applications: AU 2026901796 and AU 2026904899.

The Science

The OPP Method is anchored in four peer-reviewed studies:
  • Kim et al. (2022): Proved 73.4% dermal absorption when actives are co-loaded onto spicules.
  • Jia et al. (2021): Confirmed 17.3x greater penetration depth with sustained release beyond 72 hours.
  • Mah et al. (2014): Confirmed 83% of EGF activity is destroyed at 70°C.
  • Ha et al. (2017): Demonstrated clinical superiority of co-delivered spicule and EGF over standard topical EGF ($p < 0.01$) in a randomised split-face trial.

Market Opportunity & Capability

More on Aussie Journal
By 2033, global exosome and probiotic skincare will hit USD $819M and USD $723M respectively, while NAD+ longevity skincare represents a USD $5.1B market. These categories require cold-process manufacturing to deliver biologically active products.

GlowSense operates a GMP-accredited Melbourne facility producing 40,000 units weekly. Minimum order quantity is 5000 units per SKU, with a 10-to-14-week lead time. Available models include contract manufacturing, co-development, technology licensing, and exclusive arrangements.

While K-beauty has delivery technology and medical aesthetics has clinical actives, GlowSense OPP is the only platform globally uniting both—preserved intact—in a single consumer product.
