Carla Winslett brings 25+ years of progressive leadership experience in the hospice, home health, and hospital industries to her new role at the nation's leading nurse-based triage solution.
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - AussieJournal -- IntellaTriage, the leading provider of after-hours nurse-first triage services, has hired Carla Winslett, RN, as Director of Clinical Operations. Winslett will manage over 200 remote nurses across the nation as she oversees the clinical operations of the growing organization. She will draw on her expertise in hospice and home health, proven leadership skills, and operations management track record to support the company as it grows.
Winslett is a licensed nurse with over 25 years of experience in home health and hospice. She led hospice operations at large organizations in Alabama and Tennessee, such as Amedisys and Alacare, and was most recently Vice President of Hospice Operations at Curo Health Services. Winslett's responsibilities will include overseeing all clinical processes, managing a growing team of remote nurses, defining policies and procedures, and facilitating training alongside the education team. IntellaTriage's licensed RNs provided compassionate, quality care via nurse-first phone triage for approximately 250,000 patients in 2022.

"I am excited to join this team and work with the talented individuals who perform this valuable service to our clients and patients. I look forward to helping make their jobs easier with efficient clinical operations so they can focus on providing quality patient care," Winslett said. "I was intrigued by the concept of nurse triage, and I have recently found myself wishing I had used it to support my nurse teams in the past."
"Our nurses are the core of what we do, and with Carla at the helm, we continue to provide the leadership and mission-driven support our nurses deserve," said Daniel Reese, CEO of IntellaTriage. "Carla is a great addition to our team, and we are delighted to have her."
IntellaTriage was founded in 2008 to address a significant unmet need in hospice and home health by delivering nurse-first triage solutions and leveraging the largest team of registered nurses to provide compassionate, round-the-clock care 365 days a year. IntellaTriage uses a tailored approach for each client, offering providers and caregivers a direct line to trained nurses who operate above and beyond the traditional non-clinical answering service. For instance, IntellaTriage nurses can handle up to 80% of hospice caller needs, such as medication refills, symptom management guidance, and more. In addition, IntellaTriage has seen more than 250% growth over the last five years in response to industry demand for its tech-enabled services.
