QUINCY, Mass. - AussieJournal -- Bob Barlow, President and Owner of MBA Mortgage Corporation, is being recognized as Disabled Veteran of the Year by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Department of Massachusetts. Barlow is receiving the award for "extraordinary service to veterans and their families while overcoming significant personal injury." Despite his personal challenges, he remains dedicated to community involvement and supporting veteran organizations.
Barlow, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, founded MBA Mortgage in 2005. While on vacation in 2015, he suffered serious injuries from a diving accident, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Throughout his ordeal, Bob was there for his company and community, donating thousands to veteran organizations and volunteering for many local causes. In 2018, Bob and MBA Mortgage's Vice President Matt Scott were even named #1 fundraising team by the DAV.
Barlow continues to be a major asset to MBA Mortgage and his community, and the support keeps pouring in on the heels of his DAV recognition. MBA Senior Loan Processor Amanda Rockwell says, "I'm so proud of leaders like Bob who move us in the direction of success. Way to go, Bob!"
