Strategic Partnership Expands PADT's Advanced Manufacturing Offering With Scalable, Robotic LFAM Solutions, While Rapid Fusion Enters North America Through a Trusted, Industry-Proven Channel Partner
TEMPE, Ariz. - AussieJournal -- PADT, a globally recognized provider of numerical simulation, product development, and 3D printing products and services, has sealed a US first by signing a reseller agreement with UK-based Rapid Fusion Ltd.
The deal gives Phoenix Analysis and Design Technologies, Inc. (PADT), a leading supplier of Stratasys industrial 3D printers and advanced manufacturing services, the opportunity to expand its production-focused offerings and enhance its Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) robotic capabilities across the United States and Canada.
Visit www.padtinc.com/rapid_fusion_video for a video with more details on both companies and the partnership.
For Rapid Fusion, the agreement marks a strategic entry into North America through a trusted partner with over 30 years of deep experience serving the aerospace, defense, automotive, and energy sectors, with potential to expand into marine and construction applications.
"We've supported aerospace and defense customers with LFAM for years, but they needed more larger-format systems, flexible robotics, and sustainable materials," said Rey Chu, PADT Principal and 3D printing pioneer. "Rapid Fusion is disrupting the sector in the UK and Europe, delivering scalable, high-throughput solutions that exceed the limits of traditional gantry or filament-fed systems."

LFAM, or large-scale 3D printing, is gaining traction across industries for its ability to produce complex, high-performance parts with reduced lead times and material waste. Common applications include aerospace and automotive tooling, concrete molds, and architectural components.
Industry analysts project the market will grow from $117.7 million to $619.3 million globally by 2030. Pellet-based extrusion is emerging as a cost-effective alternative to filament printing, and leading providers are integrating AI-driven design, real-time quality control, and robotic automation for scalable, consistent production in smart factories.
"When we met PADT's leadership, we were impressed by their legacy and deep understanding of manufacturing," said Jake Hand, Managing Director of Rapid Fusion. "Together, we'll deliver modular 3D platforms, AM modules, and robotic AM cells that empower manufacturers to produce large, cost-effective components with high output and sustainability."
