HOBART, Australia - AussieJournal -- StratoKey (https://www.stratokey.com/) announced the release of its API Gateway (https://www.stratokey.com/platform/api-gateway), expanding its Cloud Data Protection Platform to secure data in motion with field-level encryption, tokenization, and real-time policy enforcement. The gateway applies protection inside API payloads, addressing security gaps in traditional gateways that focus on routing and authentication but do not prevent sensitive data from leaving enterprise control.
Designed for regulated and high-assurance environments, the gateway protects data exchanged between internal services, SaaS platforms, analytics systems, automation tools, and AI. This enables distributed, hybrid, and legacy environments to adopt modern integration patterns without expanding exposure to regulated information.
Despite being soft-launched in December, the StratoKey API Gateway has already been licensed by customers operating in major regulated sectors, including defense. Early adoption reflects the growing demand for payload protection as organizations seek to integrate cloud, SaaS, and AI systems while maintaining control over sensitive data.

"As organizations begin moving data through AI-enabled services at scale, perimeter-based controls are not enough," said Anthony Scotney, CEO of StratoKey. "Securing the payload itself is critical to stop leakage of regulated data. The API Gateway allows customers to leverage AI without surrendering their most sensitive data."
The gateway supports inline field-level tokenization, end-to-end encryption, data residency enforcement, request inspection, exfiltration control, and audit logs. It deploys without code changes and supports phased rollout.
The API Gateway joins StratoKey's existing Data Protection and Identity Gateways. It is available as a standalone product or as part of a unified platform solution that secures identity, SaaS data and API traffic across enterprise environments.
