NEW YORK - AussieJournal -- CLUBWAKA, the country's premier social club providing adult sports leagues, social activities, and events, is proud to announce the launch of its new website, clubwaka.com, on its 25th anniversary. The new website features more ways for adults to find fun and friends to continue the club's legacy of creating life-changing experiences.
So much has changed in peoples' lives over the past three years, let alone the past twenty-five. But the mental and physical health benefits of being active together with people in real life remain the same. Being social is just a core part of being human.
When friends David Lowry and Jimmy Walicek found it harder to meet new people while in the daily grind of adult life, they decided to do something about it. Together with three others, they built a social club where people could easily meet new people while having fun at the same time. Inspired by the joy of kickball games they played as kids, they founded the World Adult Kickball Association (WAKA) in 1998. As WAKA gained popularity nationwide, the organization added other fun sports leagues, including volleyball, dodgeball, and lawn games like cornhole, which prompted the name change to CLUBWAKA. Since 2016, this name has reflected their commitment to, and emphasis on, being a social club first and foremost.

Today CLUBWAKA operates in more than 30 cities across the United States while always maintaining its local community focus. CLUBWAKA leagues offer members the opportunity to play a fun sport, but more importantly, they provide a comfortable, friendly place where it's easy to make lifelong friendships. In addition to the recreational leagues, members enjoy happy hours, parties, tournaments, and other fun events and activities.
Why do we keep at it after over 25 years and 1,000,000 members? It's all about these countless connections and friendships we cultivate every day that change people's lives. Life should be fun, and people should be happy.
This anniversary and the subsequent launch of the new website showcase the longevity of CLUBWAKA, and its ability to evolve and survive through a global pandemic. Learn more about CLUBWAKA's story by contacting Co-Founder and CEO David Lowry.
