LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. & ALLENTOWN, Pa. - AussieJournal -- Allentown, Pennsylvania. — Ironton, a family-owned telephone company in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, announced today that it has formed Keystone Metrofiber, a new subsidiary aimed at enabling a new generation of wireless communication technology. Keystone Metrofiber will provide both Public and Private Wireless using the latest 4G-LTE Advanced and 5G technology throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Ironton, known for more than 113 years throughout the Lehigh Valley, has been increasing its investments to create new opportunities to provide next-generation telecommunications services to its customers. While Ironton will continue to serve the customers in its certificated territory in its present form, the new company, Keystone Metrofiber, will focus outside its territory by using the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) spectrum in the 3.5 GHz to 3.7 GHz band. Keystone has spectrum that is licensed by the FCC, also known as Protected Access Licenses or PALs.
