MELBOURNE, Australia - AussieJournal -- The Italian Golf Association Melbourne (IGA) celebrated Italy's foundation as a republic with a golf tournament at the Northern Golf Club Glenroy on Monday June 6.
Over 100 IGA members and guests participated in the Coppa Italia tournament that was won by Silvio Oliveri, Gabriele Sebastiano, Joe Fisicaro and Peter Ronne
The winners of the Coppa Italia were presented with the Coppa trophy at the post event celebratory dinner by event sponsor Adrian Ferrante of Valenti Construction Group.
The IGA was established in 1972 by passionate golfing enthusiast Mr Tony Meden and the first competition held at Yarra Bend Golf Course on October 15, 1972.
