MELBOURNE, Australia - AussieJournal -- The Italian Golf Association Melbourne (IGA) annual Italian Open golf tournament was held at the Northern Golf Club Glenroy on Monday November 10.
The much-anticipated annual tournament was once again enthusiastically supported by members and guests who vied for the distinction of being the Club's Italian Open winner for 2025.
This year, it was Adrian Ferrante who not only won the coveted award as Italian Open Champion – but he also won the Spring Cup and B Grade awards. A very impressive achievement by one of the Club's most passionate and enthusiastic members.
In his congratulatory speech, Club President Frank Costanzo said Adrian's achievement was truly remarkable and reflected both his immense passion for the sport – but also his dedication to the Club.
"The Italian Open, together with the Coppa Italia tournament in June are the Club's most sought-after trophies and are a fantastic opportunity to bring our members and their guests together – and showcase the benefits of club membership, sponsorship and the sport".

President Frank Costanzo also said how proud he was of Club's members, sponsors and guests for being exemplary ambassadors of the IGA and most importantly of Italian culture and heritage.
Vic Properties were the official sponsors of the 2025 Italian Open and Frank Costanzo thanked the group's Directors Massimo Cellante and Livio Cellante for their support of the IGA and the event.
The IGA was established in 1972 by Mr Tony Meden and since then, the Club has grown steadily attracting golf enthusiasts eager to participate in organised games, tournaments and social events throughout the year.
IGA operates from its own clubrooms located at 79 O'Connell Street North Melbourne and organises over 20 games each year, with the major events being the Coppa Italia and Italian Open. Other main events on the calendar are the Club Championships and various Seasonal Cups.
The AGM will be the next major event for the Club, followed by Presentation Night in December at the Reggio Calabria Club to acknowledge IGA's top achievers and major winners for 2025.
