Sydney, Australia – March 2025 – The OMNI Generative Film Festival will debut its preview edition, OMNI: 0.5, on April 29, 2025, at Knox Street Bar in Chippendale. This event marks Sydney's first International AI/Generative film festival, showcasing the future of cinema created by artificial intelligence and generative technologies.
About the Festival
OMNI is a bi-annual, international film festival dedicated to showcasing advancements in generative video. The preview edition serves as a precursor to the full-scale festival planned for late 2025, establishing submission processes, categories, and judging criteria.
The preview has already attracted over 600 entries from more than 20 countries, with submissions ranging from under one minute to feature film length.

Call for Submissions
Filmmakers and creators are invited to submit AI-generated and generative films for consideration. Submission fees are waived for this inaugural event. The deadline is April 10, 2025 (Midnight AEST).
