Ethical breeders now able to track puppy health and behaviour after rehoming — new app available now on iOS and Android
MELBOURNE, Australia - AussieJournal -- MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — PawHealthAI has launched a consumer app that allows registered ethical breeders to receive ongoing health and behavioural data about their puppies after they go to new homes.
The app, now available on iOS and Android, enables puppy owners to complete weekly health check-ins through a feature called "Paws and Reflect." This data flows back to breeders, giving them longitudinal visibility into litter outcomes that has historically been sporadic or non-existent.
For breeders, this creates a feedback loop that can inform breeding decisions, identify early health patterns, and provide verifiable evidence of puppy outcomes over time.
A Gap That Has Gone Unaddressed
Reputable breeders invest significant effort in health testing, socialisation, and careful placement of their puppies. However, once a puppy leaves their care, most breeders rely on occasional updates from owners — if they hear anything at all.

This means breeders have limited ability to demonstrate the long-term quality of their breeding programs, and puppy buyers have no objective way to verify a breeder's claims before making a decision.
"Reputable breeders already know they're doing quality work — the challenge is proving it," said Jim Schuman, Co-Founder of PawHealthAI. "An informed buyer looking for a puppy wants evidence, not just promises. This gives ethical breeders an additional way to show what happens after their puppies go home — with real data from real families."
How It Works
Breeders provide puppy buyers with access to the PawHealthAI app as part of their puppy pack. New owners complete a short weekly check-in covering health indicators, behaviour, activity, and wellbeing. This information is compiled into outcome reports that breeders can access over time.
The app is free for puppy owners. Breeders participating in the pilot program can access the platform at no cost.
Eligibility
The program is available to breeders registered with recognised organisations including the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC), Responsible Pet Breeders Australia (RPBA), and Master Dog Breeders and Associates (MDBA).
Availability
The PawHealthAI app is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Breeders interested in participating can contact PawHealthAI at pawhealthai@gmail.com
