BRISBANE, Australia - AussieJournal -- Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart has claimed that the Trump administration is currently and actively targeting unidentified anomalous phenomena in an effort to intercept and recover them.

The allegation goes beyond longstanding claims of historical UFO crash retrievals. According to Coulthart, the current U.S. government is not simply reviewing old records or investigating past incidents, but may be engaged in active operations involving UAP.

Coulthart has previously reported that sources connected to alleged legacy retrieval and reverse-engineering programs described the use of high-power microwave technology to disable anomalous craft. He has also claimed President Donald Trump has been briefed on the existence of a highly classified legacy UAP program.

These claims have not been independently confirmed by the White House or Department of War and remain allegations based on confidential sources.

However, they come as the Trump administration expands its public UAP disclosure efforts through PURSUE, the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, which is releasing previously classified military records, imagery and video.

The U.S. military has also previously shot down unidentified airborne objects, including the February 2023 Lake Huron object, demonstrating that military engagement with unidentified targets is not merely theoretical.

If Coulthart's latest reporting is accurate, the implications are significant. The UAP debate would no longer focus only on whether the United States possesses recovered anomalous technology, but whether it is actively attempting to acquire more.

That raises a new and potentially historic question: is the U.S. government simply investigating UAP, or is it now actively hunting them?
